SMS privacy notice

About this notice

This notice covers the SMS program operated by Synara Ops, INC. It does not describe every use of information across Synara.

Information used for SMS

When you connect SMS, Synara records your mobile number, associated account and organization, messaging connection, timezone, and consent evidence. That evidence includes the disclosure version and text, policy links, and the times you accepted and verified the connection. Synara uses a short-lived connection code to check that messages come from the phone saved to your account.

Synara processes the text you send and the replies it generates. Questions and answers are stored in your Synara conversation history. Replies and alerts can include camera or site names, observation summaries, rule details and links to Synara.

Message identifiers, processing outcomes and opt-out information help operate delivery, respect your choices, limit excessive requests and avoid processing the same provider message repeatedly.

Service providers

AWS messaging services and mobile carriers process phone numbers and message content to deliver texts. Synara’s hosting and database services process account, consent and conversation records.

When an AI-assisted answer or rule interpretation is used, OpenAI processes the request and relevant authorized camera information; interpreting a rule may also use a camera image. SMS does not expand which cameras your account may access.

Mobile information and consent

We do not sell mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent. We do not share mobile information, SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We use this information to operate the Synara SMS program, including processing by providers needed to deliver and support the service.

Your choices and questions

Reply STOP to stop SMS delivery and HELP for assistance. You can remove the phone’s access to Ask Synara in Account → Messaging. Stopping texts or disconnecting does not itself erase your Synara account or conversation history.
