About the program

Synara SMS is operated by Synara Ops, INC. It lets you ask questions about cameras your Synara account can access and receive notifications when camera alert rules select you as a recipient. Replies can include camera observations, activity summaries and links into Synara.

If your account permits it, you can propose a new alert rule and add it by replying CONFIRM after reviewing its details. SMS cannot add, edit or remove cameras, or edit or remove existing rules. Your current account permissions continue to apply.

SMS participation is optional and is not a condition of purchasing or using Synara. This program sends camera-alert notifications, service messages and replies to your requests, not marketing messages.

Joining Synara SMS

Save your mobile number in Synara, open Account → Messaging, read the SMS disclosures and choose the optional consent checkbox. Send the displayed LINK message from that same phone to Synara’s displayed SMS number before the code expires.

A saved contact number alone does not subscribe you. Synara sends a confirmation after the link is verified. Camera-alert delivery also depends on the rule’s recipients and your saved notification preference.

Frequency, charges and delivery

Message frequency varies. The number of texts depends on your questions and the alerts configured for you. An answer may arrive in multiple texts. Message and data rates may apply; check your mobile plan for charges.

The SMS program supports US destinations and supported US territories. Delivery depends on your carrier and service availability and may be delayed or fail. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping messages

Reply STOP to Synara’s SMS number to stop SMS delivery. AWS handles this opt-out and its confirmation. To remove the phone’s access to Ask Synara, also use Account → Messaging → Disconnect Text messages.

Disconnecting Ask alone does not unsubscribe you from camera-alert texts; use STOP to stop SMS. Reconnecting in the app does not by itself clear a provider opt-out. Contact support for help restoring delivery, then complete the connection flow again if your account connection or current consent is missing.
